Feel like a local visiting the interesting old quarter of Mouraria, undoubtedly one of the less touristy ones. This old Arabian quarter was the birthplace of the nostalgic Fado. Learn about the origin of this particular musical style, and its close relationship with the Arab world.

As you wander through the picturesque streets of the neighborhood, visit different viewpoints (‘miradouros’), which offer fantastic views of the city. A steaming cafe awaits you at one of Lisbon's best viewpoints: the Miradouro de Graça, where the locals sit in the sun. Churches, convents and flea markets flood these neighborhoods with their lively local life.

Caracol de Graça
Discover this incredible corner lost in the heart of Mouraria: a fascinating staircase full of graffiti, which snakes through the interior of the neighborhood. Make the descent by this staircase totally dedicated to street art in the historic neighborhood.
Church and Convent of Graça
Enter and admire the architectural complex formed by the church and convent of Our Lady of Graça, one of the oldest convents in Lisbon. Founded during the thirteenth century on the top of a hill, it has an incredible viewpoint.

Drink a beer in Miradouro de Santa Catarina
To finish the tour, taste a cold beer in this beautiful viewpoint located in one of the seven hills of Lisbon. Famous for the movement of ships, one of them being the imposing departure of the Portuguese royal family for Brazilin te XVI century.
